Meet the Ambassadors
Each ambassador of the Shop the dotte group is a dedicated member of Wyandotte's small business community, having joined this group with a shared passion for making a positive impact. They have committed to working collaboratively, not only to promote local businesses but also to invigorate the downtown area and foster a stronger sense of community. By sharing their time and unique insights, these ambassadors are eager to champion the growth and success of their fellow entrepreneurs, ensuring that Wyandotte remains a vibrant and thriving place to live, work, and shop.

Joanna Brookshire,
Joanna Brookshire is the owner of Brooks Books on Ford Ave. in Wyandotte.
She also serve as a commissioner on the Beautification Commission, where she helps bring the charm to our city through the beautiful flowers and greenery that brighten our downtown.
She is the founder of the Fire Closet, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families who have been displaced by house fires- an effort close to my heart.
She loves our community so much and always aims to stay involved in with the city. Since the beginning, she's proudly served as an Ambassador with Shop The Dotte and is thrilled about the vision we're bringing to life-transforming how our community shops, supports local and connects through retail.

Nicole Baker,
For the entire team at Shop the Dotte, our mother hen is the incredible Nicole Baker, who manages our favorite local credit union, Community Choice.
She's the one who holds our group together with her dedication and enthusiasm, making sure we stay connected and focused on our shared goals. Her commitment is instrumental in helping us grow and thrive within the community. We're so fortunate to have her as an integral part of Shop the Dotte, guiding us with such a passionate and caring spirit.

Krystle Dorobek
Founder of ZI BLOOM | CRNA | Local Business Advocate
Krystle Dorobek has proudly been a small business owner in Wyandotte for nearly five years. As the founder of ZI BLOOM Aesthetics, she brings over 15 years of healthcare experience and more than a decade as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to her work—blending science, artistry, and a passion for helping others.
Her commitment to Wyandotte goes beyond her own business—she is deeply invested in supporting fellow entrepreneurs and contributing to a vibrant, thriving local economy.
Krystle believes that collaboration, not competition, is the key to growing a stronger Wyandotte—and Shop the Dotte is one more way she’s helping to make that vision a reality.

Glow Fish Studios founder Vanessa Morse is a homeschool mom, artist, and former math/physics teacher. Lover of color, nature, cooking, travel, deep chats, quirky crafts and community. Runs The Opinionated Oyster and New Moon Gatherings.
Vanessa brings a world of knowledge and expertise as a long standing and much loved creative in Wyandotte.

Jenny Senior
Meet Jenny- The frame-taming, Jewelry slaying, chaos silencing queen!
By day, she runs Upndown like a boss- because who else is going to wrestle a rogue canvas into a frame with both style and precision? (Hint: not us.)
But Wait, there's more- she's also a full blown jewelry diva giving her amazing shop a whole new dimension.
In our ambassador's group, Jenny is a rock and anchor, ready to help keep us on track with the finest details to make sure our events go as smoothly as possible!

Leah Stefanski
Leah is an irreplaceable staple of Shop the Dotte, always ready to roll up her sleeves and jump in wherever she’s needed, no matter the cause. Her dedication, reliability, and willingness to go above and beyond make her an essential part of the team’s heartbeat.
Leah brings with her a wealth of experience as the successful owner of Biddle Hall in Wyandotte, a venue known for its excellence and community spirit. Her deep understanding of what it takes to run a thriving business shine through in everything she does for Shop The Dotte!

Emma Greene
Becoming an ambassador for Shop the Dotte is a true honor for Emma, who was both excited and humbled to join such a powerhouse group of women. As a self-proclaimed collaboration addict, she loves working with local businesses to exhibit the unique magic Wyandotte businesses offer.
Emma has been deeply inspired by the incredible sense of community here in Wyandotte. Her passion for this hidden gem of city has been a driving force not only for her business, Detroit Greens Market, but also for her nonprofit, the Michigan Ascent Program. She is thankful to contribute her energy to an organization that shares her love for The Dotte and its vibrant local scene.
